Personal Information

Please note that some members are allergic to perfumes and aftershave and the Executive would be appreciative of members refraining from wearing these items during rehearsals and performances. Also, in close quarters, and particularly during performances where stress is high, Please, please, do use and anti-perspirant/deodorant.

We hope you do not take offense at these requests, but over the years one learns the things that add to a performance, and believe us when we say it make a major difference to have all voices at optimum.

If you are allergic then you can't sing at your best with allergens in the air you breath.

Thank you,

Each member needs a black 3-ring binder, a pencil, and a bottle of water for each practice.

MUTUAL RESPECT: It is expected that all choir members will treat each other with respect. These guidelines have been created to ensure the enjoyment of all singers.

RESPECT FOR THE CHURCH:
1) All members must keep in mind our meeting place is a CHURCH.  Take special care to insure all garbage is picked up, floors are swept and toilets flushed at the end of each practice.

PRACTICES: The Singers practice each Wednesday at 7:30 pm at Knox Presbyterian Church, Kincardine. Practice time at home, if only to go over the words, is encouraged. The director sometimes calls for section practices, an all-day workshop, and a technical rehearsal before the concerts. Each member is expected to attend all of these practices, as well as dress rehearsal.

COSTUMES: Basic attire for the Christmas concert is, for women, a black dress OR a knee to ankle-length black skirt, black top with any length of sleeve,  black stockings, and black shoes. For the men, it's black dress pants, white long-sleeved shirt with collar, black bow tie, black shoes and socks. Spring concert attire varies to reflect the mood of the concert. This will be determined at the executive level.
Thank you,
The Executive.
